Can we stop treating the word like it has power? It doesn't! Gosh, no matter what side people are coming from, in this discussion thread everyone is afraid to say it. Go ahead and say it. Nigga! Nigger! So freaking what. If people were free to use it, people wouldn't want to use it. Don't be afraid, and don't call nigger or nigga "the n-word". It makes it sound like it has power, like its Voldemort or something. Some people say nigger or nigga in private. Deal with it.
(yes, I'm black and I rarely use it. Because I don't treat it with power)

The federal government owns every piece of land in the United States and can claim it anytime they want (look up: eminent domain) Your suggestion of riding the bus to a grocery store is grossly acute to the necessities of those people. You cannot carry a house load of groceries on a city bus, not to mention the sky high fares compared to years past. We need to eliminate the food deserts that are rampant throughout Memphis and the Mid-South. Give people healthy choices and they will live better lives.
