I should point out an inaccuracy- The Commercial Appeal ran The Buckets for months, not years. I was jabbering pretty quickly during the interview (ego. Y'know) and probably misrepresented the timeline. On the other hand, if the CA were to pick up this nice article and run it, as a re-introduction to the comic strip (there are two weeks of cartoons available where The Buckets move to Memphis- do they know that?) then it COULD run for years.
Kudos and deep bows to anyone who can name even half of the clients represented in that pile of stuff I'm sitting in up in the photo.
Yay, Get Fresh!
I got pulled over once for having VERY expired tags. The officer barely glanced at my 'fail' paperwork from my vehicle inspections, and kindly offered some (good) advice for how to get my antique Jeep through inspection. Other stops have included a left turn on an inexplicably and poorly marked 'no left turn' and a speeding ticket. The police were always friendly and no-nonsense, but then, I'm an old white guy. It might have been different.
I just shaved my head in fear that I'd ever want to use this product.
Jim's a fine, fine Memphis Cartoonist.
