I can see you. Trying to convence people that you made yourself look like an idiot on purpose. It won't work.'they can still see that you really have no interest in the ethical or moral concerns of others and only wish to take some of their money so that you can spend it on stuff for yourself.
It may be trivial to you, but not I, that people that otherwise would t give the pope the time of day suddenly wave him around like a bloody shirt. It's especially significant given that the pope long ago gave up his attempt to manage civil affairs.
By the way, CL, you remind me of cosmic star goat. He used to hang around the CA website and make fun of christians. I wonder what happened to him? He really seemed to hate christians.
Himiltrude? She was not the mother of Pepin the Short.
Charles Martel was the father of Pepin the Short (also called Pepin the Younger) who was the father of Charlemagne. Charlemagne had two children with Hililtrude, one of which was named after his grandfather Pepin. He was called Pepin the Hunchback.
So, well, there you are. All wrong and stuff.
As for where you receive the word of god, or whether god loves you, that's your business, not mine. You asked me "Still ignoring the word of God?", so I asked you to clarify. You've done that. It is abundantly clear that you hoped to manipulate me by the question. It didn't work.
All of that, and all because I asked a statement and then asked a simple question, that being:
Maybe I just want a little privacy and to pay my own way. What's wrong with that?
One of the most telling things you've written so far is the question you asked at the end of your 10:55 pm post on 12/9/13. You tell us of a wife you had, and then say that if she had access to decent health care, you wouldn't be married to a younger and richer woman, turning the whole issue into an affirmative statement about you.
WOW! Just plain W!O!W!
You really have no idea how callous you sound, do you? Was that supposed to make someone feel bad for you? How, exactly? I do feel bad for the wife in question. Really. But you want to turn that into a question about you. That's just, well, callous. Narcissistic. Disordered. And you clearly thought it was funny. I suppose you may mean to say that a cruel twist of fate led to better things, but still, somehow, you want it to remain an indictment of the health care system. No reason it couldn't be both. But, still, callous. Perhaps you intend for the story to illustrate something else. Maybe you mean to illustrate how this event in your life should make us all want to pay for your health care needs. I'd love to hear it.
Mark my words. G'town will get all 8 buildings.
I think this deal is great. No doubt about that.
OTP, don't ask, because I won't bother to explain to you why your end of the stick stinks. You'll soon figure out that it does and let go. All I have to do is wait for that.
So, if I understand CL correctly, not only does he not know that Pepin the Short's mother, as the wife of Charles Martel, would have received the best prenatal care available, but he also doesn't really hold any respect for the pope at all. I mean, after all he did just compare him to, well...
So, the act of waving the word of god around is only that, an act. There is no respect for any truth in it. No concern at all. He means only to use them as a weapon to manipulate other people that might hold respect for the words.
I'd say that too, Homer. Except for the fact that the readership of both the CA and The Flyer has asked for the data I mentioned the other day to be published and cannot get that. Thus, readership goes down. Now that so much data is available on the WEB, the papers become clearly apologia and polemic as there is no pretense any longer to be had.
If the papers cannot add value by publishing the data with associated expository commentary, they will die.
