Those walking down historic Beale this summer will notice that in addition to the various restaurants and gift shops that line the street, there is also a weekend vendor’s market at W.C. Handy Park, located on Beale between Third and Fourth streets. Shoppers can purchase dresses, jewelry, T-shirts, perfumes, airbrush tattoos, Italian ices, and other unique gifts and goods. If you’re not in the mood for Beale’s famous barbecue, there’s a Pronto Pup stand serving up mustard-slathered corn dogs. The outdoor vendor market is open Fridays through Sundays from 1 to 11 p.m.
