Memphis on the internet.

Decorum

โ€œDISRESPECTFUL AF!โ€ wrote Cherryl Pigues Crite on Facebook last week. Why is this attorney [the councilโ€™s attorney, Allan Wade], sitting in a COMMUNITY PUBLIC MEETING with his foot propped on THE PEOPLEโ€™S furniture. This is unacceptable and must cease.

โ€œIs this how you treat your furniture? Well who cares. This is OUR furniture keep your feet on the floor. Memphis City Council where is the decorum?โ€

The 10 Commandments of Memphis were floating around the MEMernet last week.

โ€œ1. If anyone claims thine ribs as better than ours, thou shalt catch these hands. 2. Thou shall use โ€˜maneโ€™ as a universal form of expressing thineโ€™s emotions. 3. Thou shall claim Memphis as thineโ€™s city

AND thineโ€™s state.โ€

Stomping Grounds

Stomping Grounds opened as a community clubhouse for parents, kids, and families last week.

The sand volleyball court is now a mulched playground. The indoor bar is now an indoor playground. You park around back where the old Railgarten playground used to be. The outdoor stage is gone. Beer coming soon.
