For something completely different, check out Songs for a New World, a musical produced by the Tony-award winning Jason Robert Brown, at Amro Music Store Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m.

“[Itย’s] about one moment: It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back,ย” says Brown.

Situations in the play run the gamut from a scene in the North Pole when the latest Mrs. Claus learns her husbandย’s been more naughty than nice to a scene in a prison where a fallen price laments his former status.

Itย’ll be the premiere performance by Threshold Theatre, a division of the newly formed experimental theater group Memphis Theatre Project.
