Democrats Party Again, Kuhn Comes Out Ahead

Will Rogers need not turn over in his grave. The Democratic Party is maintaining the same proud traditions that the legendary late mid-20th century humorist had in mind when he famously said, “I don’t belong to an organized political party. I’m a Democrat!” On Thursday night the Shelby County Democratic executive committee convened to deal with an attempted putsch that would have replaced chairman Matt Kuhn with lawyer Jay Bailey. The result? Well, we can tell you that Kuhn handily survived. Was there discord?
