Felicia Willett-Schuchardt shared a hint on Facebook Saturday, October 9th, as to where her restaurant, Felicia Suzanne’s, is moving.
“We are getting close to letting everyone know our new address,” the post says. “I’m going to tease you just a bit longer.
“Next hint … we are 1392 steps from front door to front door. It could be North, South or East. West would be a bit wet. We appreciate all the well wishes and look forward to sharing the address very soon! Stay tuned!”
To keep us on our toes, she posted a photo of someone’s toes (in shoes). Meaning, I guess, you should put on some tennis shoes and start trying to find the new location. Maybe she’ll give a grand prize, with any luck a dozen of her delectable deviled eggs.
The mystery has been ongoing since Willett-Schuchardt, owner of Felicia Suzanne’s, left a post on her Facebook page on September 18th: “20 years ago today we started construction of Felicia Suzanne’s Restaurant. WOW what a journey this has been. NOW we are looking forward to an exciting new adventure. We are MOVING. More details to come.”
Willett-Schuchardt opened her now-iconic restaurant at 80 Monroe Avenue downtown on the Main Street Mall on March 22, 2002.
My sister thinks the new location might be in the old Swanky’s Taco Shop in the The Chisca on Main, or the old Pier restaurant. She has some other guesses too.
When I asked Willett-Schuchardt about the new location in September, she wouldn’t tell me where she was moving. She did say it would be in Memphis. And, unless it’s going to be on a boat, I guess it’s not going to be on the Mississippi River.
The hints keep on coming.
