Memphis Kitchen Co-Op is holding its first โ€œMKCO Flavorfestโ€ featuring about 26 of their members, says Molly McCracken, who co-owns the kitchen cooperative at 7946 Fischer Steele Road in Cordova with her husband, Richard

The free event, which will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17th, will include food truck vendors as well as inside vendors who utilize the cooperative to make their products, Molly says.

โ€œIโ€™ll have people doing actual hot plates and stuff inside,โ€ she says. These will include people offering samples of their sauces and seasonings.

The list includes bakers, snack makers, caterers, and more. โ€œYou can purchase some things straight from the vendors.โ€

Some members will be selling out of the co-opโ€™s โ€œMarketplace.โ€

And there will be free samples, Molly says.

Visitors will be able to โ€œgo behind the scenes in the kitchen and see where the magic happens. And where all the local producers are making these products.โ€

Memphis Kitchen Co-0p began with about 10 members in 2021. Now that have more than 60 members, Molly says.

The purpose of the event was to give their vendors an opportunity to showcase what theyโ€™re making. โ€œI feel like we have a good group of vendors in there that are very active.โ€

โ€œWe felt now was a great time to invite the community in and let them know we have this stuff here on a regular basis.โ€

And, she says, โ€œItโ€™s such a cool place and a lot of people still donโ€™t know about us.โ€
