Choosing fourth in Thursdayยs NBA draft, he Memphis Grizzlies selected Ohio State point guard Mike Conley, Jr. as their first pick. Conley is best known locally as a key component of the Buckeye squad that arrested the University of Tigersย bid for further glory in an Elite 8 match at this yearยs NCAA tourney.
Said Conley to a local TV station: Had he known he was coming here, he might have helped the Tigers win. (We think he was joking.)
