Itยs here again ย Elvisย birthday, a time when scores of tourists rain down on our fair city like so much barbecued pork. Though his actual b-day is January 8th, the King gets a week-long celebration which kicks off tonight at a Graceland-sponsored dance party.
Other events honoring Elvisย 72nd birthday include an Elvis Pops concert with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, a scavenger hunt and luncheon, and of course the obligatory birthday cake cutting on the Graceland lawn Monday morning.
