Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee appointed five Memphians to the new oversight board for Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS), including a former MSCS superintendent.

They are:

Tyrone Burroughs,ย Chairman, First Choice Global and Founder, The Burroughs Foundation

Dorsey Hopson,ย Partner, City Fund, and former superintendent of Shelby County Schools/MSCS

Shanea McKinney,ย Senior Advisor of Product Management, The Cigna Group

Nisha Powers,ย Founder and President, Powers Hill Design

Beverly Robertson,ย Co-Founder and COO, Trust Marketing and Communications
