Memphis on the internet.
30 and up
A recent move by Privé Memphis was on the minds of thousands of Reddit users last week.
The Winchester restaurant banned anyone under 30 from its space in July. The restaurant did not give a formal reason for the change but police have been called to the location many times over the years for incidents involving patrons. The move hit the huge r/AskReddit and r/Restaurants subreddits.

“Dangerous” Memphis was predictably rolled in both. The restaurant folks, though, scoffed at Privé as “not a fine dining restaurant” because it serves nachos, chicken tenders, lemon drop shots, and a fishbowl fruit punch liquor drink.
$5 sheets?
Remember $5 Cover? The Memphis-set show about the local music scene? Well, someone took the liberty to change the show’s IMDB description recently.
“About a set of sheets that cost $5 at Walmart,” reads the new description.
“MLG Robbery”

It’s hot and so are the Nextdoor comments about Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) bills.
Some saw high bills as a “money grab” by the utility. One neighbor said she was just running fans in the house. Another said he turned off his pool pump at night. Someone else blamed the Tennessee Valley Authority. Tina Holt suggested calling the agency “MLG Robbery.”
