The DAMN Weather of Memphis gave us a satellite view of the national polar plunge that froze Memphis this week.
“The [High-Resolution Rapid Refresh weather tool] is pointing to sunrise as being the lowest windchill, clocking in at about 1 degree,” he wrote on Facebook. “Singular. Not plural. #coldasshit”

DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton launched an ad campaign last week aimed at deterring Memphis criminals from causing trouble south of the state line.
“Memphis criminals: TURN BACK NOW!” reads the billboard. “Prison awaits you in DeSoto County.”
The MEMernet rolled its eyes. Then, the Memphis subreddit fired back.
“DeSoto criminals TURN BACK NOW,” wrote u/SamuelHuzzahAdams.
The post photo showed a mugshot of DeSoto County Justice Court Judge Karen Sanders, arrested Saturday for DUI and careless driving in Hernando.
