National Guard PTSD
Memphis comedian Zach Williams was killing it last week with his Instagram series about the National Guard deployment here. In it, Williams is a Guard veteran telling a grandkid about his tour in Memphis. Stationed at the Liberty Bowl, his platoon explores Cooper-Young, gets lost in the Overton Square theaters, and cleans up at the University of Memphis.
‘Hella Wonky’
Hunter Demster called out a “clearly AI-generated” image of federal troops here that floated through the MEMernet last week.
“Notice the out of place Bass Pro Shop sign, the traffic lights only have 2 lights, the license plate is hella wonky, the trolley doesn’t come out that far out and hasn’t even run at all in a year,” Demster wrote on Facebook.
