Newspaper Demo

Mixed reactions swirled the MEMernet last week as demolition began on the former Commercial Appeal building at 495 Union. 

It was the end of an era for Memphis and the newspaper, but it was the beginning of something wonderful for Regional One Health: a reminder of the $51 million spent to retrofit the building as a 400-bed Covid hospital that never treated a single patient.
