Guess Who?
Extreme heat took its sweet time this year. But we all knew it would arrive eventually. The National Weather Service of Memphis said on X this Monday that the heat index early this week would reach around 114 degrees and “creates dangerous conditions.”
Overton Square restaurant Petals of a Peony took responsibility for the rising temps last week. In a Facebook post, it said, “Authentic Sichuan cuisine has been heating up Memphis all summer. And according to our new policy, Petals won’t let the summer end. Hot people eat hot food.”
