Director Robert Gordon joins host Chris McCoy to talk about his made-in-Memphis documentary Newport & The Great Folk Dream. The film uses never-before-seen footage shot at the Newport Folk Festival from 1963-66 to trace the evolution of American popular music, and its influence on the larger culture, during a time of great social change. The film will have its Memphis premiere at Crosstown Theater on July 22.
