Re: “Letter From the Editor (August 14, 2014)

Isn't Paul Boyd an African-American Republican? I know he wasn't a big name on the ticket but this shouldn't be overlooked.

Re: “Malone, Weirich Hone Their Electoral Messages

I've seen a lot of comments that Luttrell will win by a big margin. If everyone assumes that and voter turnout is low than Malone has a very good chance. All Luttrell supporters need to focus on getting the vote out. Look at what happened in Virginia when Cantor and the voters assumed he would win.

Re: “Ready or Not...

Definition of INCUMBENT
: the holder of an office or ecclesiastical benefice
: one that occupies a particular position or place

The definition of incumbent doesn't include being elected to that position. Jackson isn't misleading anyone. Before you make accusations please know the definition of a word.

Re: “MAD AS HELL: After Tucson, the GOP Has Some 'Splaining to Do

Pathetic article. If this is your way to increase people reading your "newpaper" or website than you should be ashamed. Innocent people were killed by a lunatic. To make this a political issue is sad. By the way the federal judge who was killed was appointed by George Bush so using your shallow reasoning are you sure the shooter wasnt a democrat. Please. My last statement is as ridiculous as your article. As a church going conservative democrat, I will pray for the families of all involved, even the misguided author of the article.

Re: “Ford Scores Well in Round One of TV Debates

I am truly confused by Mr. Baker's assesment of the debate especially since he was a moderator. Ford was humerous and relaxed but he did not answer many of the questions. In fact one moderator re-read a question to try to get Mr. Ford to answer the question. His answer to every question were that he saved the Med and has a balanced budget. One question was asked about schools and he answered the question by talking about the Med. I saw very little substance to Mr. Ford. Luttrell might have been a little dry but I could tell he had well thought out ideas and answers. Also the poll to determine that Ford "won" the debate was by informal talks to people in the studio? That sounds like some hard investigative polling to me.
