It’s 4/20, the day we celebrate grass. But not that kind of grass, says HEELS.
As temperatures warm and leaf blowers hum, the Memphis duo, which is now a trio because they finally got a bass player, of Josh McLane, Brennan Whalen, and Buddy Forbess celebrates the primal power of the lawnmower.
Director Forbess (the aforementioned bass player) has crafted a montage of dudes trying, and mostly failing, at cutting the grass. “Ass or Grass” makes its world premiere today on Music Video Monday. It is on the latest HEELS album We Look Happy Here, which is available for purchase at Bandcamp.
“Nothing says spring like lawnmower shenanigans,” says McLane. “Enjoy the new video. Good luck getting this chorus out of you head.”
