Recent Future, Memphis synth-slingers whose mind-bending visuals have previously graced MVM, are currently prepping their debut full length with Red Curtain Records, which will be released this fall. Their latest single is “Lean Towards the Light,” a brooding dance floor juggernaut. In the video, which was also created by the band, the duo of Charlie Davis and David Johnson appear as multi-limbed gods, inspired by ancient representations of the Hindu goddess Durga and the bodhisattva Avalokiteลvara.
You can see Davis and Johnson in person, and presumably with the standard number of limbs, on August 28 with visuals by Infinity Stairs at Bar DKDC.
