Bruce Newman is the host of the Folk Song Fiesta radio show which airs Wednesday mornings on WEVL. But if you’re a follower of Music Video Monday, you already know that Newman is also a folk musician in his own right.
His latest is a lyric video for his song “That Side of the Mountain.” It’s a tribute to the folk singers Newman admires, and a fantasy about hearing the ultimate jam session in heaven. The video, which takes a vacation travelogue theme, was directed and produced by Laura Jean Hocking, who, in the interest of full disclosure, is married to this columnist. Let’s hit the road.
