Memphis filmmaker Ben Siler has a long resume of experimental and avant garde work, including many music videos, like this one for Louise Page. His latest video is for electronic musician Greg Cushing aka G. Cush.
In a typically Siler-esque fashion, images come at you quickly: the forest, a stream, a sunset, then the inner workings of a mysterious machine. Then, things take an Aurthurian turn, with a lady in a lake offering a sword to a knight in full armor. Longtime Siler collaborator Tim Morton found the armor for the video. The owner, Siler says, “lives on the Ohio River and he let us take it out of his basement and walk around the river with it. (That’s Tim in the suit.)”
