New Wing Order, a Best Food Truck winner in Memphis Flyerโ€™s Best of Memphis, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that itโ€™s closing.

According to the post, โ€œItโ€™s been a great ride Memphis, but weโ€™ve made the tough decision to close. We love yโ€™all and appreciate the support youโ€™ve shown us these past six years. Itโ€™s been a privilege to share our culinary creations with you and develop some great friendships along the way.โ€

New Wing Order owner/operator Jesse McDonald posted the history of the food truck on Facebook. He says he decided to start a food truck 10 years ago. The concept was โ€œAward-Winning Hot Wings.โ€

The food truck opened six years ago. But, McDonald writes, โ€œCosts have risen so much in the last couple years and lately weโ€™ve run into some unexpected expenses. Unfortunately, we are at a crossroads and Iโ€™m having to make another really hard decision. Iโ€™m sorry to say, we have to shut down the food truck.โ€

However, he adds, โ€œWhile this is a goodbye for now, I really hope itโ€™s just a break. I still have dreams for New Wing Order and I hope I can bring it back in some kind of capacity some day. In the meantime, soon youโ€™ll still be able to come eat food that I cook so stay tuned yโ€™all. Iโ€™m not done yet.โ€
