When I stopped by Wayne's Candy Co. earlier today, co-owner Kelly Hardcastle was standing in the door. Check out that smile! He's been selling candy since 6 a.m. this morning.
If you haven't picked up candy yet for trick-or-treating or if you have a serious sweet tooth, a visit to the bulk-candy warehouse is a must.
Hardcastle says the big bags of candy, such as these "Super Gum Center Pops" (5 pounds for $7.95) are selling well.

You can also pick up 11 oz. bags of "fun size" Snickers, M&Ms, Twix, etc. for $3.50.

Also available at Wayne's are pickled eggs. I double-dog dare you to hand these out to trick-or-treaters.

Wayne's is open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

I recently opened a branch office there, and now my desk is so covered with candy wrappers that I can't get any work done. Not that I planned to do anything but eat candy all day long anyway.
I am a pickle finatic and have been searching for the perfect pickle. I thought I had found it in Cajun Chef pickles but I discovered an even better texture and taste while visiting my cousin (two years ago) who was pregnant at the time. Pickle o Pete brand is my newest best friend. A friend of hers got the pickles but I could never get anyone to give me the name and location of the store. However, today (two years later) my cousin's husband finally found out that the great tasting pickles came from Wayne's. I don't think my cousins actually took me seriously but I bugged them every chance I got. I just happened to be in Memphis today from Little Rock and was so disappointed when I discovered that the store is closed. Then, I found the website and "no credit cards." What a bummer. My cousin promised to bring me a case during Thanksgiving but I don't think I can wait that long. I will simply have to make a return trip next week. See ya then. RDeWayne
