Food Fetish Greatest News Ever ... If You Like See's Candies

See's Candies opened a temporary "gift center" in the Wolfchase Gallery last week.
According to the press release, the See's shop will offer chocolate assortments, truffles, peanut brittle, gourmet lollypops, and more.
I don't think I've had See's candies. Any fans out there?

I lived in Santa Monica for a number of wonderful years, and I could walk to a See's candy store from my (rent-controlled!) apartment. The ladies who worked there were career See's employees. They looked like Mrs. See on the box, and they could describe in detail every type of candy in the store. They've probably passed on to the promised land, which I'm sure has See's on your pillow at night, but thankfully the candy is still with us. My favorite: a pound box of mixed butter creams.
