Yesterday, it was announced that Kraft finally reached a deal to purchase Cadbury for $19 billion.
Cadbury has resisted the takeover for months, and news reports of the done deal included a quote from one of Cadbury's founding-family members: "I identify them with plastic cheese on hamburgers."
That quote reminded me of something I had seen at the Piggly Wiggly in Midtown sometime before the holidays.
I was looking for parmesan cheese, the kind that doesn't come in a can, and remembered that the market has a refrigerated pasta section in the "ethnic" aisle.
And so off I go, and this is what I see: the whole thing packed with Kraft American cheese!

I have no idea what the larger meaning of this is, but I'm guessing it's not good.
