In conjunction with Memphis in May, there will be a tasting of Tunisian wines and olives oils on Tuesday, May 18th, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
On Saturday, May 22nd, at 6:30 p.m., it's "Gourmet at a Higher Level," a dinner benefitting the Memphis Farmers Market.
The wine and olive oil tasting will be led by Bill Sanders of Crush and Press. The evening will also include Tunisian and Mediterranean-inspired appetizers created by Grill 83 chef Chris Windsor. (Just a taste: mirqaz, a Tunisian lamb sausage, and falafel with harissa chili sauce.)
Seating for the tasting is still available at this writing. Cost is $35. To make reservations, call 333-1224 or go to grill83.com.
Saturday's event, part of the Memphis Farmers Market Dinner Tour series, is a grill out that features a menu planned around locally grown items procured from the market that day.
These dinner tours tend to sell out quickly, so act now. Cost is $45. To make reservations, call 333-1224 or go to grill83.com.
