At the South Memphis Farmers Market

Given the heat, there was a nice crowd today at the first South Memphis Farmers Market.
On sale, tomatoes, potatoes, gorgeous eggplants, peppers, and melons.
Mama D's Italian Ice and Richardson Farms were two familiar vendors selling today.
This is Carolyn Richardson of Richardson Farms.
Also on sale were pickles ($4-$6) from cucumbers picked from the Common Ground Community Garden at Lauderdale and Linden.
The South Memphis Farmers Market, at the corner of South Parkway and Mississippi Boulevard, is open Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m., through September 30th.
