For a no-hassle lunch, stop by Valenza Pasta for the Italian sub (salami, turkey, cheese, pickles — full, $3.99) and a side of Joe's Summer Corn Salad (corn, tomatoes, celery, onions — 8oz. $5.41).

Both were ready for the taking (among many other entrees and sides) in the store's prepared-foods case.

I didn't try the sandwich, but coworkers were impressed. I did help myself to the corn salad, created by the owner's cousin Joe. Way to go, Joe. It's delicious.

Valenza Pasta is open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
