I dislike grocery shopping quite a lot, but live-tweeting last Sunday's excursion to Kroger kept me distracted enough.

On Monday, someone who had seen the Kroger timeline asked if I was poking fun at Twitter account Kroger Hater.
No! I was genuinely unhappy about the arugula situation.

I wasn't aware of Kroger Hater — created on Sunday around the time I was bellyaching about produce — until it was mentioned to me.
Like, hate Kroger all you want, you've gotta admit Disney's Old Yeller pig ears is flat-out hilarious.

I never got around to tweeting about my new favorite magazine Ground Beef, so here it is.

My first thought, when I saw this, was that it's Marty Bait. Sure enough, I was right.
Kroger is more expensive than Wal-Mart?!?! lIK3,OMG@!E!E@@Aa!
"Hot for Total?" Is David Lee Roth writing the cover blurbs for Groung Beef magazine? And what does it even mean?
Marty, I think you've probably got COTW locked up for next issue. That "twaddle" thing is comedy gold.
BV: Seriously? That's a pleasant surprise, given the reception I'm more accustomed to getting for my social media comments.
Eat your heart out, Jeff (and may I suggest some fava beans and a nice chianti with that).
Chris: I saw "Total", too. And I loved the "1984" reference. I've never read that rag , though, but I'm a huge fan of "Linguiça Digest."
I despise KROGER. I live downtown and midtown Schnuck's was like shopping in a NYC market for me. If I wanted seafood I went to Cleveland Asian Market or out east to Whole Foods. Otherwise, I knew where everything was at Schnuck's and I knew when to go so I could park on the first two rows. I've stopped going there now. They are so into their KROGER brand they don't carry half the brand name products I bought before. Thus, the entire clientele has changed. AND, their merchandising is ridiculous; tuna by the pickles by the chips...oh, I get it; it's the tuna sandwich aisle. I was told Kroger at Poplar and Kirby was like Fresh Market. NO, it's just a big version of Union. I put on my Kevlar and went to Poplar and Cleveland...nope, needed a mask and had to throw away the clothes I wore due to the stench. For commodities I've ended up at Laurelwood. It's still huge and I can't get out in less than an hour and STILL come home without things I needed. I spent 20 minutes last week looking for frozen biscuits because I couldn't find an employee and never remotely thought about having a frozen bread case on the bread aisle. But, I'll do without before I go to Wal-Mart and get pissed off because I spend $200 at Whole Foods and only have two shopping bags. I've just had to accept the idea that I can't make a quick trip to the grocery anymore.
