Television Memphis Beat Renewed!: "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You"

If you like Memphis Beat and/or rubbernecking accident scenes, this will please you: the show has been renewed for a second season by TNT. This according to The Hollywood Reporter's blog The Live Feed, who are citing their own unnamed sources.

Also, the story enumerates the ratings for Memphis Beat: "The drama has been a solid performer, averaging 4.5 million viewers and a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating through 10 episodes," James Hibberd reports.

You know what this means? Another season of thousand-word episode recaps — pointing out all of the show's geographical, historical, and ambiencical — shortcomings, from your friendly neighborhood Sing All Kinds team. FTW.

I'm glad. I enjoyed the show. Hopefully a few tweeks and more local shots for next season. Good job TNT!

Can AC get the TN Legislature to pass a quickie law granting shows named after and set in specific TN cities automatic sales tax waivers and get production up to Memphis in time?

Thanks for watching so I won't have to.

Although, I might change my tune if they:

A. filmed more in Memphis
B. gave up trying to be half-serious and went for total camp.
C. hired some writers

This just made my day. I love Memphis Beat. It is one of my favorite shows on television. Please don't ever cancel it. Also keep the singing coming. Several of my friends watch it too. Elwanta Horn Lake Ms

I would love to see more of Memphis on it. It would just add to the show. Memphis is a true Blues and Rock and Roll city. A lot of history in Memphis. It needs to be shown more. Memphis and New Orleans are the two most beautiful cities in the South.

Love this show, looking at the repeats now. All the cast are great. Looking foward to another season.
