As part of its Blue Ribbon Initiative to address student behavior, Memphis City Schools started the "The Fight Free 50" program, which challenged all Middle and High Schools to see if they could go 50 consecutive days between December 5, 2005 and March 1, 2006 without a physical altercation.

The results are in, ladies and gents, and the winner by unanimous decision is Hollis F. Price Middle School, which met the goal of 50 days without a fight. The reigning high school champ is Westwood High, which managed 37 consecutive fight-free days.

The winning schools received tickets to a Grizzlies game.
