Memphis Pandas Can't Get It On
"No sex, please. We're pandas."

"We put on some Marvin Gaye ('Let's Get It On'), poured a little bamboo wine, and got Ya Ya all dressed up in panda lingerie, but nothing seemed to rouse Le Le. We're beginning to think he may be gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that," said a Memphis Zoo official.
Okay, we totally made up that quote. But seriously, what IS it with pandas and their lack of interest in the dance of love? Zoo officials spent days setting up Le Le and Ya Ya for the big moment, and apparently, the youngsters did at least "try," but couldn't make it happen.
Zoo staffers then artificially inseminated Ya Ya and say they hope for a panda cub by spring. Ya Ya's in seclusion, hoping to rebuild her self-esteem, while Le Le began redecorating his exhibit space and resumed his quest to find the perfect recipe for bamboo gazpacho.
