Sometimes Americans are wary of Greek dancing because it looks complicated and you have to hold hands, often with someone you dont know. But, as veteran Greek dancers here at the Flyer, taught to us by some of the oldest and most skilled Greek dancers in the world, we can assure you that its very simple.
You step to the right with your right foot; then cross your left foot behind. Then walk three steps to the right and kick your left ankle in front of your right foot. Take a step back with your left foot and then your right behind your left and repeat!
Oopa!
Oh, just forget it. Just do a little hippie dance to the right and make sure the kid next to you hasnt been eating baklava with his bare hands. Mary Cashiola
