Meanwhile, Wharton claims to have reduced gun crime. Where?
As to white kids getting breaks that black kids don't, when my (white) son got arrested for a non-violent crime, he got taken directly to juvie. When we went to see the (black) parole officer who threatened to put him in jail, the officer showed him the list of kids who had gone to jail recently. They were 99% black and there for violent crimes. The (again - black) officer pointed out that fact and told me son that he did not want to be in there with them.
What is the purpose of McDonalds moving across the street from their current location and what is going to happen to the old building?
Parking is especially bad if you have to go to one of the government buildings. Having a handicapped tag, I was able to park for free in the lot by the river, which is the closest lot to the state building. By the time I walked to the building entrance I was in pain due to the distance I had to walk.
When I had jury duty, all of the spaces where I was advise to park were full so I parked in the private lot across the street from 201 Poplar which has no free parking. I think it was $5 per day which for me and many others is unaffordable. It's crazy that we have to pay so much to do our civic duty.
I honestly don't think this is a case of "dumb" children or lack of parenting. I'd bet if you talked to the kids involved and/or their parents, you would see instantly where this came from; most likely hatred learned at home.
