Time Out New York recently interviewed Cybill Shepherd, and here we go again with tales of stomach-turning meals fit for the King. Not so documented: Elvis Presley’s gross-out reaction to some harmless male-on-male action, ’70s-style.

Time Out: “What did you do on those dates [with Elvis Presley]?”

Shepherd: “Ate chicken-fried steak, deep-fried peanut-butter-and-mayonnaise sandwiches. He had screenings every Wednesday night at this huge movie theater ย— private screenings with 50 of his closest friends. One of the movies we saw was Sunday Bloody Sunday. They started running the picture, and there was a scene between two gay men. Elvis said, ย“Ew, gross. Turn off the movie!”

No word on what Presley would think of Shepherd’s new role as a married, middle-aged woman “living a lie” on Showtime’s lesbian drama The L Word.
