Burke’s Book Store, a Midtown institution and favorite haunt of mega-author John Grisham, is giving away free books, starting Saturday, November 15th. That’s right free … Well, sort of.
Of course there’s a catch but just barely. According to the fine print, anybody who wants to walk away with a selection from Burke’s freebie table has to spend at least five bucks on something else in the store.
The freebies are comprised of galleys and reading copies, which are advance, pre-publication editions sent to bookstores and reviewers.
Burke’s is located at 936 S. Cooper just north of Young.
