Police are looking for a man they believe shot and killed a woman in Cordova Thursday morning.
They are searching for Larry Berry, 35. He allegedly fled the scene of the fatal shooting of a female in a black Mercedes Benz sedan.
Here’s what Memphis Police Department said in a statement:
“At approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 7900 block of Racquetball Lane. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim who had been shot. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Officers searched the area and were initially unable to locate the victim’s two children.
“Officers were advised that the suspected shooter, described as a Black male, fled the scene in a black Mercedes sedan with the victim’s children. The victim and suspect were previously in a relationship.
“The two juveniles were located safely in Robinsonville, Mississippi.
“A manhunt is now underway for 35-year-old Larry Berry.
“This information is preliminary, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
