Grace Restaurant Open, but Keep It Quiet

Posted By on Fri, Sep 18, 2009 at 6:55 PM

Is he a wizard, or just a damn good chef? We’d say Ben Vaughn is both considering this news: He got his new restaurant Grace opened in less than a month.

Grace, located at 938 S. Cooper in the heart of the Cooper-Young neighborhood, opened Friday, but did so softly. “We’re going for a long, soft opening,” Vaughn explained by e-mail.

So what does that mean exactly? It means come by for lunch, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., or for dinner, Monday through Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., but be patient with the restaurant’s staff.

We’ll be stopping by next week for dinner, and writing more extensively about Grace in an upcoming issue of the Flyer. In meantime, if you go, let us know how the restaurant looks and how you liked your meal.
