Food Trends for 2010

Foodchannel.com (not to be confused with the Food Network) has released its forecast for food trends in 2010.

Among their predictions are a return to basic ingredients, growth in experimentation such as in gastropubs, and mainstreaming sustainability.

Food News writer Pam Denney and I were talking about Memphis food trends. The biggest of 2009, we agreed, was the movement toward locally sourced ingredients.
