Want to have a say in the future of Rust Hall and the Brooks Museum of Art building in Overton Park?

Well, here’s your chance.

Memphis College of Art (MCA) officials announced that the school will close next year, leaving the iconic Rust Hall empty. Brooks officials are planning a move to a new, $105 million facility on the riverfront by 2024.

City officials and the U3 Advisors will be on hand next week to hear from the public about the two buildings.

A public meeting on the matter will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16th at 6 p.m. Participants should gather at MCA’s Callicott Auditorium at 1930 Poplar. If you can’t make the meeting, visit POP.memphistn.gov.
