Martin Shore's documentary Take Me to the River is getting lots of attention in the aftermath of a messy SXSW. The screenings, a panel, and a showcase certainly raised the profile of the city and its musical heritage. Some recent ink from around the country:

The Austin Chronicle liked the panel and the showcase, but was not as lovey-dovey about the film itself.

Variety loved the sound and remains largely postive.

Billboard included the film in its Top 10 list and raved about the music.
