Re: “"No End in Sight"

Vote Better? You must have missed my quote from Bill Clinton, here are some more:"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." Rep. Nancy Pelosi, "We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002, "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002.

Re: “"No End in Sight"

Here is a quote from the actual report: "In addition to Abu Zubaydah and Muhammad al-Masri, a third high-ranking al Qaeda associate has explained Saddam's support for al Qaeda prior to the war. Hudayfa Azzam, who is the son of one of al Qaeda's earliest and most influential leaders, Adullah Azzam, gave an interview with Agence France Presse in August 2004 in which he explained Saddam's support for al Qaeda's members as they relocated to Iraq: "Saddam Hussein's regime welcomed them with open arms," Azzam explained, "and young al Qaeda members entered Iraq in large numbers, setting up an organization to confront the occupation." Al Qaeda's terrorists "infiltrated into Iraq with the help of Kurdish mujahideen from Afghanistan, across mountains in Iran." Once in Iraq, Saddam "strictly and directly" controlled their activities, Azzam added." Let this be a lesson to you kids, if you get your information from Air America or Media Matters you are likely to make a fool of yourself.

Re: “"No End in Sight"

You have chosen your name well, only a "leftwingcracker" would claim that a man who payed the families of suicide bombers would be an ally against terrorism (that's strike 1). As for his hatred for Al Qaeda, why did he allow Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi safe haven in his country after he was wounded fighting with the Taliban? (strike 2) I assume you think Bill Clinton is also guilty of treason when he said: "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." (strike 3, you're OUT)

Re: “After 10 Hours In Iraq, Sens. Corker And Alexander See "Clear Success"

maybe you need to read the report, here is a quote from it: "measurable but uneven improvements in Iraq’s security situation since our last National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq in January 2007."

Re: “After 10 Hours In Iraq, Sens. Corker And Alexander See "Clear Success"

It's hard to know who to trust: the Senators and Generals on the ground in Iraq who see marked improvement, or your basketball blogger who saw "no end in sight" I'm going with the blogger! I've heard him on the radio; He's an expert in foreign films, really not that different from foreign policy.

Re: “"No End in Sight"

I agree, if only we could bring back Saddam. He was so misunderstood. Bush is the real tyrant.
