just for the record, in the original production Neil LaBute directed the set was not covered in dust. That seems petty to focus on. The play is not for the faint of heart, it's true. It's for those who can stomach seeing themselves reflected in two vulnerable and messed up people trying to muddle through all the crap life offers. Maybe it just hit too close to home for the reviewer, or made him more uncomfortable than he would have liked. Good.
