Re: “Moving Forward

I think it is interesting that people make comments when they do not know all of the facts. Did any of you ever bother to go in the church? Did you participate in any of the activities? If you had you would see for yourself the condition of the building. If there is a building in this city you care about, you need to get involved in what is going on the inside and support it. What does it say about us that we are more concerned about the building than we are in the purpose of the building? I have known Pastor Mark Matheny of St. Luke's for a number of years now and if you really knew him you would understand what I am about to say. He is a real pastor. He constantly thinks of others before himself. He thinks of church before self. He thinks of the community before self. He will help you when you are sick, when you are well and everything in between. It is so funny that "barf" up there uses the reference that the pastor will sing a conciliatory song now. Are you kidding me? This man sings all the time! Of course he is going to sing! This man knows the love of Jesus Christ like no one else. It is in his heart of hearts. You can speak poorly of a building unloved or the church that sold it, but please don't speak poorly of my pastor, Mark Matheny. Come by St. Luke's sometime and see what I mean!
