Re: “Memphis City Council Members Vow to Fund Southbrook Mall Project

I just want to comment on the article on Showcase of the Rising South, those that are commenting evidently do not realize how the industry works. The scouts attending are some of the best in the industry. Read the bios on our website, if they were not true and were not attending we could not use these high profile scouts & film directors names, we would be liable for a law suit. Any talent agency or convention charge for there services and the fees for such a convention is much higher than $650.00. Ask the local agency what she charges her clients. On Nov. 20 - 23 please call the Whispering Woods Hotel and see if we are booked there and if we have rooms for these scouts..... This event is not a scam, it is a great opportunity and the cost by far, out weighs the one on one that is available for participants to showcase there God given talent and to be exposed to the best in the industry. Where could you see & have a face to face with 20 professional scouts that signed and worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Mariah Cary, Glee, commercials representing McDonalds, Verizon and a host of other greats.....Again read the bios.
It is very sad that there are those that feel threatened by our presence when we could all benefit. If anyone is questioning our integrity please email us. You will find our email addresses on our website and Facebook page of Showcase of the Rising South.
