Re: “200 and Counting: Thoughts on Memphis’ Bicentennial

Congrats to Calvin Farrar for his recognition.

He worked for years with local master artist Artiek Smith, who did a lot of window murals, as well as. other art projects for businesses around the city of Memphis and Shelby County.

Re: “Tigers 83, Tulane 79

I have come to the conclusion, that maybe this season's team isn't as good as we as fans think they are.

Coach Hardaway and staff had to come in at the last minute to get the players he got.

Plus, the players left over from Coach Tubby Smith didn't make the post season.

Perhaps what we are seeing from this team "Is what it is."

This season's team is a middle of the road AAC team and will have to win the AAC tournament to make it to the NCAA tournament.

I for one, am not upset about it. I will still watch the games, hope for the best, and in the mean time, wait patiently for next season's team and the potential it has on paper.

Re: “Tigers 85, Wichita State 74

Very good win to open the conference schedule. I hope that it carries over to Houston, and that they don't have an off game.

Houston is the type of team that you have to get out front early on and keep the pedal to the metal.

Don't think it will be 85-65 this season. Hopefully the Tigers will pull out the victory. Go Tigers!

Hope the Tigers can build from blowouts like this, to compete for top spot in the AAC.

Future looks bright. But I want this season's team to light it up.
