Re: “A Month Ago, Cohen Foresaw Hart's 9th District Challenge — and the Outcome

The time for change has come. After reading much of everyone's comments, all of you have very valid points. My thought on Ms. Hart running against Rep. Cohen is this...SHE WILL WIN!!! Rep. Cohen has done nothing (as stated by "mightyisis") to bring jobs to the City of Memphis...maybe Nashville...maybe Chattanooga...maybe Knoxville...but not in Memphis. Of course he will take credit for some of the manufacturing sects to come in, however, don't be misled by that. In fact, don't be misled by anyone saying that he or she brought in businesses to manufacture their products in Memphis. The City of Memphis is prime real estate...every manufacturing company knows this. It's the middle of America. The City is one huge transportation mecca, whether its the port, the intermodal facilities or the airport, it's a course instead of marketing that and trying to bring jobs to a struggling city like Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville...and even Jackson are reaping rewards...Where does MEMPHIS draw the line? When is MEMPHIS going to stand up and "stretch the sagging backbone" or perhaps grow a new one? When are YOU, the CITIZENS of MEMPHIS going to stand up for YOURSELVES and DEMAND that YOUR CITY LEADERS REPRESENT YOU!!!??? Perhaps Rep. Cohen doesn't attempt to bring anything to Memphis because, perhaps, he sees what everyone else in Shelby West Tennessee...and maybe even all of Tennessee...well...sees....and that's that nobody could care less about the City of Memphis...You guys, don't forget to use your most important tool to get things done...your voice. So speak up, be heard, and take action. Change is coming, and Ms. Hart will win.
