Re: “Crushed, etc.

I apologize if I offended anyone with my opinion.

Re: “Crushed, etc.

I agree, B-reazy, that good journalism should make the reader think and want to find out more. And, I acknowledge that this was pretty much a web fluff piece.

But, I guess I'm just kinda shocked and disappointed by what it represents. I mean, the cover article of this week's publication was a tasting of BBQ sandwiches by eight Flyer employees. Whether or not it was an interesting read is overshadowed for me by the fact that there was no news to the newspaper's cover story. It was the story of eight employees' opinions.

I guess that's what I'm talking about when I say "the cavalier and lazy attitude" shown. I mean, if the cover story can be about nothing outside of the employees themselves, why should other articles even try?

Sorry, Phlo.

Don't mean to be bitchy. Just kinda shocked at the cavalier and lazy attitude shown by the "reporting", especially in a paper that I read every day.

Re: “Crushed, etc.

Come on, guys, really? "Co-worker Bianca Phillips said ..."

This is what reporting has become? Ever think about finding out for yourself? You know, doing some reporting on something other than what your co-workers or your or their friends say or do?

Shoot, I'm not familiar with the brand either, but in about 30 seconds I was able to google the manufacturer and see on their website that the loaves are $5.50.

Can I get a job at the Flyer? I've got a great story to report. The guy in the office next to mine told me all about it.
